Flip Caps is a growing collection of free, fast, private online tools - no sign-up, no downloads, no data leaving your browser.

What is Flip Caps?

Flip Caps started as a simple text case converter and grew into a full toolkit covering text utilities, PDF processing, image editing, unit conversion, calculators, and a range of everyday tools. Every tool on the site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API. Nothing you type, upload, or process is ever sent to a server.

The goal is simple: give people fast, clean tools that just work - without accounts, paywalls, or friction. You open a page, use the tool, and leave. That is it.

Who runs it?

Flip Caps is built and maintained by Velovid, an independent web development studio. The site is designed, coded, and updated by a small team that cares about building things that are genuinely useful rather than bloated. What tools are available?

The site is organized into six sections, each covering a different area:

Text Tools

Over 20 text utilities including a case converter, word counter, duplicate finder, line remover, lorem ipsum generator, slug generator, email and URL extractor, bold and italic text generators, and tools for removing formatting, line breaks, emojis, and AI-style markdown. All processing is instant and runs in the browser.

PDF Tools

Client-side PDF processing tools built with pdf-lib and PDF.js. Merge, split, add page numbers, insert headers and footers, add a table of contents, watermark, extract pages, remove blank pages, and convert PDFs to JPG or PNG images - without uploading your files to any server.

Image Tools

Thirteen image tools built with the Canvas API: format converters (PNG, JPG, WebP), an image resizer, compressor, crop tool, rotation tool, watermark tool, meme generator, photo editor with brightness and contrast controls, and a favicon generator. All conversions happen locally.

Unit Converters

More than 110 unit converters covering length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed, energy, pressure, data storage, electrical units, radiation, and many more specialist categories. Each converter supports multiple units with instant conversion as you type.

Calculators

A wide range of calculators for everyday needs: age, BMI, calorie intake, compound interest, loan and mortgage payments, retirement savings, debt payoff, GPA, grade, hours worked, date differences, body fat percentage, blood alcohol content, fuel cost, and more.

More Tools

A growing miscellaneous section including a word unscrambler, jumble solver, alarm clock, countdown timer, stopwatch, world clock and time zone converter, sleep cycle calculator, spin wheel, random team generator, budget planner, chore scheduler, Magic 8-Ball, typing speed test, pros and cons list, dice roller, coin flipper, password generator, QR code generator, color converter, dead pixel tester, and more.

Privacy by design

Flip Caps was built with a privacy-first approach from day one. Text tools process your input locally using JavaScript - nothing is transmitted. PDF and image tools use the browser File API and Canvas - your files never leave your device. There are no user accounts, no session tracking beyond standard analytics, and no selling of data.

The site uses Google Analytics to understand which tools are popular and Google AdSense to display advertisements. Both are standard practices for a free, ad-supported service. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Is it really free?

Every tool on the site is free to use with no sign-up required. The site is supported by display advertising. There are no premium tiers required to unlock tools, no file size limits enforced by a paywall, and no watermarks added to your downloads.
