What is the difference between UPPER CASE and Capitalized Case?

Choose UPPER CASE for emphasis or headings; choose Capitalized Case for names and branded terms.

What is Sentence case and when should I use it?

Sentence case capitalizes only the first letter of each sentence and lowercases everything else, just like normal written English. Use it to fix text that was pasted in the wrong format, or to quickly normalize inconsistently capitalized content.

What is Title Case and when should I use it?

Title Case capitalizes major words in a title while keeping short connecting words (a, an, the, and, but, or, for, in, of, etc.) in lowercase. It follows standard English title-writing conventions. Use it for article headlines, blog post titles, book chapters, and page headings.

What is alternating case?

Alternating case (aLtErNaTiNg cAsE) switches every letter between lowercase and uppercase, the first letter is lowercase, the second uppercase, the third lowercase, and so on. It is mostly used for memes, social media humor, and informal creative text.

What is Inverse case?

Inverse case (also called toggle case or flip case) swaps the capitalization of every letter, uppercase letters become lowercase and lowercase letters become uppercase. For example, 'Hello World' becomes 'hELLO wORLD'. It is useful for quickly reversing the case of text that was typed with Caps Lock accidentally on.

How do I fix text that was accidentally typed in ALL CAPS?

Paste the all-caps text into Flip Caps and click Sentence case to convert it to normal capitalization, or click lower case to make everything lowercase first. This is much faster than retyping the entire text.

Sentence Case only capitalizes the first letter of the first word in each sentence (used for normal written text).
