How do I start the typing test?

How is WPM calculated?
WPM (words per minute) is calculated by dividing the number of correctly typed characters by 5 (the standard word length) and dividing by the elapsed time in minutes.
What counts as an accurate keystroke?
A keystroke is accurate when the character you type matches the character in the passage. Wrong characters are counted separately and reduce your accuracy percentage.
Can I use my own text?
The test currently uses 10 built-in passages. Each passage is a substantial block of text that gives a reliable sample of your typing speed.
What is a good WPM score?
