Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use the Chore Wheel?
Add your household members in the People panel, add the recurring chores in the Chores panel, then click Randomize Week. The grid fills with a balanced schedule for all seven days.
How does the randomizer distribute chores fairly?
Each day the randomizer shuffles the chores list and assigns people in a round-robin rotation. This means each person gets roughly the same number of tasks per day and per week.
Can I change an assignment without re-randomizing everything?
Yes. Click any colored chip in the schedule grid to cycle that single cell through your household members. The rest of the schedule stays unchanged.
How do I rename a person or chore?
Double-click any name in the People panel or Chores panel to edit it inline. Press Enter or click away to save. The updated name appears immediately in the schedule.
What does the Weekly Load chart show?
It shows each person's total chore count for the week as a progress bar. Use it to spot if someone has too many tasks and manually adjust a few cells to rebalance.
How do I print the schedule?
Click the Print Schedule button. The browser print dialog opens with a clean version of the grid formatted for paper. The sidebar panels and ads are hidden in the print view.
